We build
in the open.
CALIBRE started with a stubborn idea: that a serious mechanical watch shouldn’t require a secret handshake or a five-figure cheque.
So we did the unfashionable thing. We named the movement on the dial. We published the specifications instead of the marketing. And we let you configure the case, dial, and strap yourself — because the person wearing a watch usually knows better than the person selling it.
Everything is assembled and regulated on one bench. Nothing is outsourced that we could learn to do ourselves. It makes us slower than we’d like and prouder than we’ll admit.
“A watch should keep two things — good time, and its owner’s confidence. Everything else is decoration.”
